Potable Alcohol

  • Spirits are the leading market for food-grade alcohol, especially gin and vodka. This does not include the production of wine alcohol. Ethyl alcohol is also oxidised to produce vinegar, by way of acetobacter micro-organisms. The reactions take place in fermenters. Alcohol is also used in food preparation.
